Methodology — What's Live vs. Estimated
Live database facts
- ✓Active member counts and plan mix
- ✓Monthly recurring revenue (sum of live subscriptions)
- ✓Every planting record, its date, and its provider transaction ID
- ✓Planting spend (trees planted × $1.00 per tree)
Estimates (labeled “est.”)
- ≈Historical revenue — derived from each subscription's signup and cancellation dates, not from individual Stripe invoices
- ≈Stripe fees — modeled at 2.9% + $0.30 per charge
- ≈Infrastructure costs — current service-tier estimates
- ≈Refunds are not yet itemized here
We'd rather show you fewer numbers that are exactly true than a polished report you can't verify. As Seed grows, we'll add Stripe-verified monthly statements to replace the estimated columns. If a number on this page ever looks wrong to you, email us — publicly calling us out is the system working as intended.
